Piracy, Mafia & Terrorism

I was having a casual conversation with my colleagues on ‘Piracy’. Interesting twist to that conversation was: piracy is linked to mafia (organised crime) & terrorism!

So, if one is buying a pirated movie CD/DVD or sofware or books, they might be contributing to TERRORISM!

A scenario: If as a local bootlegger, if one tries to sell drugs to a person, he or she might hesitate (the person who is being approached), knowing it would spoil health etc, etc. There is bit of guilty conscious as well here.

However, if one is selling the latest Bollywood or Hollywood movie for Rs 20 or Rs 30, would one not buy that? Definitely, yes. Infact many parents lead the way here for children, as they feel there is nothing wrong in their action (not paying taxes is a different story!). Bingo for Mafia! With less headache, they are getting funded by innocent (not 100% though) civilians, for their business (Terrorism, smuggling…or whatever)!

So, please avoid buying any pirates software or movies or books. Just a humble request.
