Kimi & Ferrari World Champions
October 22, 2007
Hello world!
Kimi & Ferrari World Champions!!! What a great race it was!!! People a nail biting finish! Until the last few laps how many permutations & combinations were put into motion. For Ferrari fans a sigh of relief when Kubica overtook Alonso for P3 and Hamilton went down the positions (unfortunately). But tension was back again when Alonso regained his third position and Hamilton was moving up the position. As and when Hamilton upped his position, my heart beat was going up, started sweating….sheesh…..
Atlast with his team’s support and Felippe’s magnanimity and last but the most important one - a near perfect drive by ICE MAN KIMI! What a drive, what an attitude and what a team! Kudos Team Ferrari! Kudos Felippe!
The first person Kimi congratulated was Felippe - that’s what is team spirit. [Other top drivers should learn from this team what team spirit is! Especially one person.... A...SO]
Hello…Hamilton! Are you a rookie?! I don’t think so! He shows maturity in every sense - be it driving or sportive spirit or loyalty to team….! I am learning a lot from you Hamilton!
Keep it up! And looking forward a great season starting in another 145 days!

I have a serious feeling… there was something fishy in the race… my mind is thinking about match fixing… ???

Gaurav - I don’t think so. But there is another issue that is brewing, FIA investigation on fuel temperature of Williams,if the appeal is cleared by higher council then Hamilton may clinch the TITLE!
Keeping my fingers crossed.

Nothing fishy was going on in the race. Kimi won the race deservedly. He was blistering throughout the three extra laps that he went longer than Massa in the second stint. For sure, Massa made Kimi’s life easier. But, you can’t take that win away from Kimi. He was brilliant. Five laps from home he set the fastest lap and also the lap record for the V8s. Want further proof?

hmm… think about this… The FIA said to the players… we are bloddy not docking your points as we did for Mclaren.. but then you should not win the tournament… this is your punishment…
(this might have been done to keep the interest alive in the F1 season… else all interest would have been lost)
What say… quite a possibility… isnt it…

I think you are referring to the McLaren duo of Hamilton and Alonso. Why either Hamilton or Alonso lost out to Raikkonen in the Championship is because of (1)the points they lost to Raikkonen in the last couple of races due to their own mistakes - Hamilton retired from the Chinese GP and Alonso retired from the Japanese GP (2)the inability of the McLarens to match the pace of the Ferraris in the last GP. Had Alonso finished second in the last race, he would’ve been champion even with Raikkonen winning. Had Hamilton finished in the top six, he would’ve taken the title. But neither could do so. In Alonso’s case it was his McLaren’s inability to match the Ferraris and in Hamilton’s case it was the mistakes he did in the first couple of corners and the technical glitch he suffered that was the undoing.
So, the situation (that Kimi won the title on track) is pretty straightforward, I think.
