Google (Part 3)
May 1, 2007
1) Google strikes again, this time with its announcement about a slide show application (browser based) and acquisition of sweden based company “Marratech” - an e-meeting software company! - I am yet to see a news flash about this! . Surprising thing is Marratech is not a browser based software firm but more off downloadable software with lot of features. Why surprising? Google has more list towards browser based product than a desktop version / downloadable fully-loaded product. So what this combo is capable off?
Let me think about it and try finding some missing links
2) Google Radio - Adsense gets into radio and its (Google’s) acquisition of DMarc is paying off!!!
3) Google becomes more personal again - Hurraaaay!!!! Yup, look into my personalized home page
Superb right? Not only in looks but also in the search results. Based on my choice of hometown (Google Maps) search results are shown!!! More to come……

Google is to challenge the dominace of microsoft in “Productivity Programs” arena.. apart from the 13 programs ,. some of the common programs are Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint..

Hi Divakar - I see your point but looking into the way Google is going…it is looking into lucrative business or one that invites traffic…it offered doc n spreedsheet ‘coz these r the most widely used softwares - in my opinion.
Other productivity programs may not be lucrative - ofcourse Google is capable of developing these.
Google OS…..a browser based is possible…hmmm….i feel currently the environment doesn’t warrant this OS!!! This isn’t my final answer…let me think about it…
